Sub Nong Dan is famous for their Galbi Jjim – spicy braised short ribs. Jonathan Gold loved it so much, he listed it in LA 101 list of restaurant. The short ribs were braised in soy sauce, cooking wine, onion, carrot, potatoes, rice cake and Korean spicy sauce, until they were tender and fall of their bones then they would be served in a traditional Korean stone pot which was heated to keep the dish hot. You can choose to have it with or without cheese. I personally liked it without cheese. But the cheese helped put up a good fire show. Note: this fish was mean to share with at least two people or more.
